I have been with Youth For Tomorrow since graduating with my Master’s in Counselor Education from Virginia Tech in 2013. Prior to joining YFT, I have worked with adolescents and young adults in group home, foster care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient settings. In addition, I have worked with children, providing therapeutic day treatment services in an elementary school setting. I work with children ages seven and older, teens, and adults, and specialize in working with families. In my counseling approach, an emphasis is placed on building a collaborative therapeutic relationship in a nonjudgmental and growth-encouraging environment. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, in addition to employing Person-Centered, Existential, and Family Systems approaches. I am available to provide services in both our Woodbridge and Manassas locations.
A Northern Virginia native, I attended the University of Virginia graduating with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, prior to pursuing Master’s studies at Virginia Tech. I have returned to Virginia Tech for post-master’s education, seeking to continue upon a path of growth and advancement in my profession. In my free time, I enjoy exercising, keeping up with the local area sports teams, and spending time with my family and two dogs.

I am a native of Kentucky, and made Northern Virginia my home after marrying my husband in 1974. Together we raised 4 children and have been blessed with 2 grandchildren (so far). In my leisure time, I enjoy reading, sewing, scrapbooking, spending time with family and crafting with my granddaughter. I am an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
I am a graduate of George Mason University with a BA in Psychology and completed my Master of Arts in Community Counseling at Eastern Mennonite University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. I am trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy, Filial, Trauma and Sand Tray. My clinical focus is addressing the needs of children and families struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief and loss, trauma, and PTSD. I am able to use a strength based approach to therapy with an attachment focus. I am a member of the American Counseling Association, the Virginia Counseling Association, the Association for Play Therapy, and the Virginia Association for Play Therapy. I feel blessed to be able to serve the needs of children and families in the community.

I am a native of New York, the son of Italian immigrants. I graduated from Christian Life College with a BA in both Theology and Missions. I completed my Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I joke that I have a PhD in Common Sense. I have been involved in Christian ministry since my teen years and have travelled as a faith-oriented public speaker throughout the United States and on four continents. I came to Youth For Tomorrow Behavioral Health Solutions from having worked at Prince William County Department of Social Services. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor.
I have previously worked as a teen residential counselor and in an adult detention center. I started out in the counseling field working with children and adolescents, predominantly with issues of anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I soon expanded to working with adults as well, including marriage and family counseling. I work now primarily with adolescents and adults. I utilize an integrated approach to various schools of therapy, primarily employing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy using a Person-Centered style.
In addition to being a husband and father to a wonderful family, I enjoy team sports, strategy, finance / economics, and exploring principles of greatness.

I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University. I recently became a Licensed Professional Counselor. I worked for a private practice for almost four years in which I worked with children, teenagers and adults. I have experience working with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression and other mood disorders. I also have experience working with ADHD, Autism and other behavioral issues. I have worked with grief & loss issues, trauma and divorce/separation. I approach therapy by focusing on the person rather than the problems. I focus on problem solving skills, coping skills and the strengths that a person has. I am bilingual and speak Spanish fluently. I enjoy working with different populations and issues.
