Last Saturday, over 50 students along with chaperones Mr. Houyoux and Mr. Vickers went to Scott Stadium in Charlottesville to see the 21st-ranked Virginia Cavaliers host the Old Dominion Monarchs. The game lasted almost 3 hours and ended with the victorious Wahoos turning in an early 17-point deficit into a 28-17 win.
The game was a great opportunity for everyone to not only support the Wahoos and enjoy tasty food, but also reunite with their parents, friends, and even Woodberry alumni.
“This was my first ever time going to a stadium and watching a college football game live. I had watched so many football games on TV at home in Maryland but never been to one like this,” Lang Gibson ’22 said. “It was cool to see the massive stadium with tens and thousands of people. I also got to reunite with my sister at the hill and talk to her about being at Woodberry. Overall, it was a really great and fun experience.”
