New Boys Take Part in PLC Scavenger Hunt

By Tim Pouring ’21

This past Monday night, after a long day of New Boy Orientation, the dozens of PLC groups teamed up in pairs for a bit of friendly competition in the form of a scavenger hunt. PLC (Peer Leadership Council) is a program in which 5th and 6th formers assist new boys in their adjustment to life at Woodberry.

In the hunt, the teams earned points by searching the campus for a variety of everyday things and taking photos with them, as quickly as possible. They ranged from a Woodberry tiger’s paw to the renovated Walker game room, with bonus points awarded for photobombing and photos with the senior prefect.

PLC Leader Spence Whitman ‘21, who was allegedly part of the winning team, said,  “My group had the fervor of one thousand beasts trampling the campus. The scavenger hunt was our mission and Chick-Fil-A was the light at the end of the tunnel.”

Fellow competitor Carter Krusz ’20 said, “We got to go onto Hanes and take pictures with the cheerleaders. I think that being able to get to know the seniors and their dorm better was a very cool experience for the New Boys.”
